Evolution; an arguable topic. But, what is one to believe when what appears to be an ordinary Human, suddenly becomes something so much more? Recently, the world's brightest minds took another look at the Human genome; only to find out that in some Human beings was an evolutionary gene. The world of secrecy refers to it as the Hybrid-gene, or H-gene. Upon the discovery of a gene that grants those that posses it with superhuman abilities, political leaders and scientists alike were astonished by the stuff of fiction becoming a reality. For most of the higher-ups in society, they reached a consensus: to keep their existence a secret, but, at the same time, passing a law that would grant a government-funded organization with the authority to deal with these dangers to society, before they become just that.

So, the Hybrids Experimentation Act was passed, and, though the President voted against it, he was overruled. The senate agreed to put a long-time war veteran and former 5-star general, Charles Rage in charge of this organization and its modus operandi. Little did they know he would combine his sinister efforts with the inquisitive and nigh-insane scientist, Professor Eisenheart, to give this organization an entirely more brutal mission.

Only recently did this organization known as H.U.N.T.E.R. become an active part in the way "Hybrids" tried living their lives. Those born with these special gifts couldn't ever have seen it coming. Using a super-computer codenamed "Gaia", H.U.N.T.E.R. has been able to process the knowledge they already had on other test subjects (Hybrids) in order to branch off in search of new ones spread throughout the world, though mainly in the United States. After finding these Hybrids, they add them to their database, and from then on, they are only interested in using Hybrids as test subjects; experiments.

The world is being overrun by H.U.N.T.E.R. and their sinister agenda, and often Hybrids are given three choices: to surrender, to die, or to run. In a world where others are needed to stand against the sins of Humanity, are there heroes to be found? Is there a war to wage?
